Self-Care in the Park

On April 13, MHA Cleveland County will be hosting a pop-up self-care event at Holly Oak Park under the picnic shelters. We will be providing COVID-safe self-care activities, crafts, bagged lunch, and a guided walk down Holly Oak's walking trail.

You will have the opportunity to engage in creative self-care activities, including making joy jars, personal journals, and planters on site. You can take these crafts with you and make additional ones to contribute to our Community Supported Friendship Project.

Bagged lunches, provide by Common Ground Cafe, will be available to a limited number of registrants. To ensure you receive lunch, please click here. Participants are welcome to bring a guest with them. There will be one bagged lunch per participant, so if you are bringing a guest, be sure to request two bagged lunches on the registration page.

Students from Cleveland County Community College will be on site working on a class project to film a promotional video for our Compeer program. They will be filming some of the event as well as interviewing interested volunteers. Participation in filming is not a requirement of attending the event.

COIVD-19 safety protocols are in place and masks are required whenever social distancing is not possible. You are welcome to bring a picnic blanket and eat your lunch on site.

If you're unable to attend, but would still like to help us prepare for this event, please consider purchasing an item off of our DreamList. We will be updating this list with materials needed for the event.
